FURR, Georgia - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Newtown – Mrs. Georgia Furr, 92, a resident of Newtown since 1957 died at 4:40 a.m. today in the home of a daughter, Mrs John (Claudine) Weber at Rt 4, Veedersburg. She had been ill since October.  Born near Fort Wayne, she was reared in Indiana Soldiers Home at Knightstown. She had lived in the Fountain County area since her marriage to Luke Furr. He died in 1968.  Mrs. Furr was a member of Attica Christian Church, Ladies American Legion Auxiliary and Senior Citizens Club. Surviving with the daughter, Mrs. Weber are three other daughters, Mrs. Catherine Keller of Lafayette; Mrs. Margaret Keller of Mellott and Mrs. Florence Epperson of Auburndale, Fla and six sons: Everett Furr of Kingman; Eugene Furr of Middletown, Ohio; Donald Furr of Newtown; LeRoy Furr of Clarks Hill; William Furr of Waynetown and Kenneth Furr of Brooksville, Fla. - kbz
